It Doesn't Matter What You Think!

Matthew 3:13-17

Romans 8:31-39

When John baptized Jesus, I am sure there were some who do what all of us are guilty of at some point in our lives-(what gives HIM the right to baptize ANYBODY?  You obviously haven't seen what he did just last week. Who is this man who claims to be THE ONE?) Well, neither man didn't care what anybody thought. They did what they were called to do.  It didn't matter what Sara or Michael said.  It honestly didn't matter how THEY personally felt.  They were led by God to do work and that's what they did!

Jeremiah 29:11 states "For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you a future and a hope." THAT statement along is all you need.  Who cares what other people think?! God said it right here that He knows and they are of peace and not of evil for you to prosper.  Man's thoughts have sin in them. "Who said she has favor? Humph, she thinks she's anointed" I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU THINK! Tell them to quit bringing up old stuff! They do not know your story, they only THINK they do!  See, there is that word again...think.  Let's break it down.

The word "think" in the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary states: "to believe something is true, that a particular situation exists, that something will happen." So if they BELIEVE a certain thing about you, that means at some point there was a reason or situation why they do. BUT WHO CARES! Know you know better you do better.

A second definition for the word "think" in the same dictionary states "to have an opinion about someone or something". An opinion is NOT a fact.  Everyone has one. See the thing about an opinion is they can either be positive or negative. I for one don't want ANY negativity in my life!  If it isn't God's opinion of you it doesn't matter.  He already told you His thoughts are of good and not evil!

Your plan and God's plan may not be the same plan.  God knew long ago that you would be where you are, right this moment, doing what you are doing, going through what you are going through RIGHT NOW for a purpose.  It is not to destroy you.  It's to build you up!  Just because you say "Ok God I quit!" does not mean you will get your way.  It's not about you or even WHAT YOU THINK! Quitting is negative.  This is about you following the Lord's will for you life and living to please Him.
