Know Your Season!

Sometimes in life we go through things to put EVERYTHING in perspective. People are like seasons. You have those in the "Spring" of your life to plant seeds and make things happen. You have those in the "Summer" of your life who are there to enjoy the good times but when it gets too hot, they are gone. There are those in the harvest season or the "Fall" who is there to reap the benefits of the planting season and those in the "Winter" that are there to motivate you and keep you upbeat in spirits when everyone else has left you alone in the cold to tough it out. You have to know who is who and what season are they in.  They definitely know your season!  Some people are leeches and they are only in for what they can get.  Others are genuine and authentic and will do all they can to help.

Sometimes "seasonal" people come in the form of friends and family. These are the people who you want as you support system but you have to learn everyone isn't always happy for you, ESPECIALLY FRIENDS AND FAMILY.  You have to know your season and when to say "enough is enough".  God has given you discernment and you are to use it wisely. Spending more time with Him in prayer, study and in fellowship with other Christians will develop your spiritual "muscle".

Another thing, people are not the devil.  Ephesians 6:12 tells us that "we wrestle not against flesh and blood (people), but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places" in other words THE BATTLE AIN'T ABOUT YOU, ITS BIGGER THAN YOU! So why not give it to God?!  Satan wants to see if we will turn our backs by USING people (especially the ones we love) against us.  Fight back but let God fight like Joshua did in the Battle of Jericho!
Know your season.  It helps when you have God as the 5-Star General of your army!  Suit up in the proper attire for your season!

Smooches!

  1. Good post.We need to be able to know when & who to let go. And to always go to God. Sometimes we wonder why certain things continue to happen with the same people but we're steady allowing them to stay in our lives. We can love people from a distance, family included! Just because their family doesn't mean you have to be around them. Continue to want the best for them, pray for them & move on.
