Blessings!

Do we take blessings for granted? Often we do and don't even realize it. We live life daily and forget to acknowledge those "not so important" blessings such as waking up, the use of our limbs, the ability to come and go to and fro and even speaking with loved ones.

But those "major" blessings...those things we have been HOPING for. Asking for in those microwave prayers: "Lord if you get me outta this one...." or "Lord I need..." we are quick to shout the roof off with praise when those prayers are answered. Don't get me wrong, He hears ANY prayer. The question is "is our heart sincere when we pray them?"

God WANTS to bless us.  Never has he withheld ANYTHING for us that was good for us.  We may not have gotten it when we wanted it, but He is ALWAYS on time! What we feel are our needs, may (or may not) be what God feels like we need. Answers to trials, temptations and situations aren't always answered immediately because He feels that we NEED to learn something out of what we are going through. NEVER was it ever mentioned that life would be easy. Especially life as a follower of Christ. It just means that we NEED to have more faith in what He can provide and that He will.

Many times we have the ability to be a blessing to others when we minister to their spirit. You never know what someone is going through. Money isn't always the problem for a lot of people. Give someone a kind word, spend some time with them, tell them that Jesus loves them (and you do too-and mean it). A lot of times we must step outside our comfort zone to BE A BLESSING to others. Not just during Christmas, but the other 365 days on the calendar too!

Blessings aren't always monetary. We can be a blessing by the leading of the Holy Spirit. We can be a blessing with kind words, encouragement, our time or even just in love! Don't always ask for a blessing. He will BLESS you more, when you BLESS HIM! If He never blesses me again, I know from what He has done for me that I am indeed blessed! I want to let you know that you are loved, you are blessed and God has not forgotten you. Just hang on a little while longer. Your blessing is coming! Keep the faith!
